Job summary

Avera Orthopedic Hospital-Sioux Falls is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (PRN) to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy addressing speech, language, cognition, voice and dysphagia in hospital and home settings. Requires CCC-SLP or current fellowship, active state license, and 1–3 years hospital/home health experience.

You will document evaluations and progress, and coordinate with physicians and families to support patient goals.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP or active fellowship in speech-language pathology.
• Active state licensure in the practicing state.
• 1–3 years hospital, SNF, outpatient or home health experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and interpret diagnostic assessments to determine needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide therapy in hospital, outpatient, or home health settings.
