Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide speech therapy services addressing deficits in speech, language, cognition, voice and dysphagia. This PRN role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting and compliance with CARE standards.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP with ASHA certificate or active in supervised fellowship requirement within one year of employment
• Active license in the state of practice
• Preferred: 1–3 years in hospital, SNF, outpatient and/or home health setting

Responsabilités

• Evaluates patients using formal and informal assessments to determine needs.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
• Establishes and adjusts goals based on ongoing evaluations.
• Provides direct therapy across various settings.
• Coordinates with rehab, medical, and nursing care plans.
• Prepares evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes and reports.
• Communicates with patient, family, physician and team about status.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and supervising students.
• Participates in department program development and internship oversight.
• Maintains confidentiality and CARE principles.
