Job summary

Adoration Health in Westminster, MD is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN, per-diem work. The role focuses on 1:1 patient care in a home health setting within Howard/Baltimore County coverage.

You will evaluate speech/language needs, provide therapy, educate families, and document progress in coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.

Salary Range

USD $55.00 - $65.00 / Hour
