Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our Wheeling, WV team. The PRN role focuses on one-on-one patient care in a home setting, delivering evidence-based therapy and documenting progress per agency policy.

Responsibilities include evaluating speech and language abilities, teaching speech techniques, and guiding caregivers; requires Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, state license, and BLS/CPR certification. Flexible schedules and team support provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy
