Job summary

Adoration Home Health, affiliated with BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist in Morgantown, WV. The role focuses on providing patient-centered SLP services in a home health setting, with part-time and PRN options available.

You will assess and treat patients with speech and language disorders, collaborate with families and care teams, and document progress while supporting the program's growth.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and therapy requirements.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) for limited speech.
• Educate and guide healthcare teams and caregivers to support progress outside therapy sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes and submit visit documentation per policy.

Schedule: Part-time and PRN Available

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
