Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Bluefield, WV. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating patients' speech and language difficulties, providing expert care, and guiding patients through therapeutic exercises.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
