Adoration Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a Home Health PRN role in Fayette, AL. The position involves one-on-one patient care across the Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa counties, with support from a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include evaluating communication disorders, delivering therapy, and educating the care team. A Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, AL licensure, and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Aufgaben

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine therapy necessity.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) when needed.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes, and submit visit documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
