Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to join our Greenville, AL team. You will provide patient-centered, one-on-one speech therapy in a home health setting with PRN scheduling, serving Butler, Lowndes, Crenshaw, and Covington counties.

Responsibilities include evaluating communication needs, teaching speech techniques, and guiding care teams. A master’s degree and licensed SLP are required, with state CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine therapy requirements.
• Teach patients to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) as needed.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises for progress outside direct sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes, and submit visit documentation per agency policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathology by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
