Job summary

Adoration Health in Destin, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Home Health team on a PRN basis. You will provide one-on-one therapy to patients in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, focusing on speech and language goals in a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Speech Language Pathology, an active license in Florida, at least one year of experience, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language difficulties and determine continued therapy needs
• Teach patients how to articulate sounds and improve voice
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises to support progress outside direct sessions
• Document progress and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
