Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a passionate Home Health SLP to join our Destin, FL team on a PRN, flexible schedule. You will provide patient-centered care in the home setting, performing voice and speech therapy, and supporting patients and families.

Responsibilities include evaluating speech/language needs, teaching sound production, introducing alternative communication methods, and guiding the healthcare team. Documentation of progress and outcomes is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine therapy requirements.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language) for patients with limited speech.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapy exercises and progress.
• Document progress and complete visit documentation per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
