Job summary

Adoration Health in DeQueen, AR is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for home health to provide expert, patient-centered care. This PRN role focuses on delivering services in patients' homes, collaborating with families and the care team to support meaningful communication goals.

You will perform 1:1 therapy, assess swallowing and speech needs, educate caregivers, document progress per agency policy, and contribute to a supportive, growing home health team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE.
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Two (2) years of experience in adult occupational therapy, home health experience preferred.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; physical therapy skills per competency checklist.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist , You will:
