Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist in Clifton, NJ to join our patient‑centered team. You will provide expert 1:1 therapy in patients’ homes, coordinating with families and healthcare staff to maximize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level OT education or equivalent per CAPTE accreditation.
• Current occupational therapy licensure in the state.
• CPR certification as required or offered on hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech/language needs and determine therapy continuation.
• Teach patients how to produce speech sounds and improve voice quality.
• Educate and guide healthcare team and caregivers in therapeutic exercises for progress outside sessions.
• Document progress and complete visit notes per policy.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist , You will:

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required ; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire
• Two (2) years of experience in adult occupational therapy, home health experience preferred
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; physical therapy skills per competency checklist
