Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a passionate Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide expert, patient-centered care in Anmoore, WV. This part-time position promotes a fulfilling work environment with opportunities for growth and flexible schedules.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating patient communication levels, teaching speech techniques, and guiding caregivers. Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, have a valid state license, and possess CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in West Virginia.
• BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ speech or language difficulty levels.
• Teach patients to improve sounds and voices.
• Educate caregivers on therapeutic exercises.
• Document progress and clinical notes.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
