Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certified by American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Licensed in the state(s) where services are provided as a Speech/Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for rehabilitation services within 24 to 48 hours of physician’s orders.
• Develop effective treatment plans.
• Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care.
• Communicate with physician, clinical managers and other health care team members, patient and/or family and facility staff about patient progress and plans.
• Participate in care conference and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide in‑service training to staff in the facility.
• Record evaluations, treatment notes, progress notes, discharge summaries and daily billing per policy.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Maintain productivity standards.
• Recommend equipment to improve service delivery.
• Report equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
• Act as a clinical supervisor for graduate clinicians.
• Comply with licensure standards and maintain organized working environment.
• Demonstrate Concept Rehab values in daily practice.
