Job Overview – Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Compensation: $75,000–$95,000/year
Location: Springfield, OH
Schedule: Full-Time (In-Office)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Springfield, OH for our client, providing speech, language, communication, and swallowing therapy within a private outpatient practice. This role will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy, and monitor progress to improve communication and functional outcomes. The ideal candidate is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, patient care, and communication skills, with Clinical Fellows and new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities as the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and swallowing evaluations to identify patient needs and functional limitations.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized therapy plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, and identified areas of need.
  • Therapy Delivery: Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to improve communication, swallowing, and functional abilities.
  • Progress Monitoring: Evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment plans as appropriate, and support achievement of therapy goals.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and other required clinical documentation.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals, therapeutic strategies, and techniques that support continued progress.

Qualifications for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field is required.
  • Licensure: Active Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for Ohio licensure is required.
  • Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred, with Clinical Fellows eligible for consideration.
  • Experience: 1+ year of speech-language pathology, rehabilitation, or related clinical experience is preferred, with Clinical Fellows and new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology evaluation, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, patient safety, and evidence-based clinical practices is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical records, clinical documentation, and standard speech-language pathology tools and technology is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, patient care, communication, organization, collaboration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required.
