Job summary

The Pavilion at Piketon seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Rehabilitation Services team in Piketon, OH. This PRN role focuses on comprehensive evaluations, patient-centered care, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to improve resident communication, swallowing, and quality of life.

Candidates must hold an OH license and a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, with experience in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state.
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred (new grads welcome!).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
• Passion for enhancing resident function and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with resident goals and clinical best practices
• Provide skilled therapy to residents with neurological, cognitive, and age-related impairments
• Implement dysphagia management and safe-swallow strategies
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration
• Document services accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulatory standards
• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe-swallowing techniques
• Support quality improvement initiatives within the rehab department
