Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team in Orlando, FL. You will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and address dysphagia, cognitive rehab, and communication goals to improve quality of life.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists, supervise assistants, and educate families on therapy goals and home programs, ensuring documentation meets Medicare and facility

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA or eligible to obtain.
• Strong clinical experience in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Nursing home, rehab, or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans.
• Assess, treat, and monitor residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Design personalized therapy programs based on residents' abilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists as part of the care team.
• Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers on goals and home programs when appropriate.
• Supervise Speech Therapy Assistants and support personnel in accordance with state regulations.
