Job summary

Blue Palms Health & Rehabilitation in DeLand, FL seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for residents.

We value clinicians who collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and maintain thorough documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA (or Clinical Fellowship Year candidates may be considered).
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
• Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and facility policies and procedures.
