Job summary

Select Medical Rehabilitation - Orlando Central, housed inside Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for per diem/part-time coverage. You will provide comprehensive evaluations of communication and swallowing, and deliver targeted therapy to maximize patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with the rehab team to monitor care quality and contribute to program development. Current state licensure and BLS completion within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
  • Preferred CCC in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation of communication and swallowing function.
  • Deliver goal-oriented treatment to maximize communication and swallowing potential.
  • Monitor quality of services in Rehab Therapy Department.
  • Participate in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
  • Assist in developing SLP role and revising departmental policies.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and share professional knowledge with team.

Location: Housed inside of Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central

Schedule: Per Diem

  • Participates with fellow staff in monitoring the quality of services provided by the Rehab Therapy Department.
  • Participates in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
  • Assists in the development of the SLP role in programs and services, as well as revising the departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies.
  • Exhibits willingness to share professional knowledge and experience. Alerts the Manager to educational needs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
