Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support the supervising Speech and Language Pathologist in providing interventions for students with disabilities. The role includes documentation in Medicaid systems, preparation of materials, and collaboration with SPED staff.

Responsibilities span scheduling, observations, data collection, and participation in IEP meetings as requested.

Qualifications

• SLPA certification required.
• Bachelor's degrees in Communication Disorders and Speech Pathology.
• First Aid & CPR Certification often required.

Responsibilities

• Assist SLPA in delivering speech and language interventions for students with disabilities.
• Document health-related services in Medicaid designations and documentation systems.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain equipment for SLPA.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and inform SLPA.
• Collaborate with SPED team and school staff regarding services to students.
• Represent SLPA in IEP meetings and other team meetings when requested.
• Assist with scheduling, screening, observations, and data collection in classrooms or group settings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
