Job summary

Pueblo School District 60 seeks a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support students with speech and language disorders. You will assist an SLP, collect performance data, and help maintain a daily schedule under the Exceptional Student Services department.

The role requires a Colorado SLPA background, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and completion of an approved SLPA program with supervision. 165-day work year with District benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Colorado Special Services License within 60 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication, Speech Language Pathology, or related field with emphasis in SLHS.
• Completion of an approved SLPA program with 100 hours of direct service delivery, supervised by a licensed SLP.
• Fingerprint-based background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist an SLP in assessment of students' communication skills per IEP goals.
• Implement speech-language therapy exercises to support articulation, language, and related areas.
• Schedule screenings and interventions; provide home activity guidance.
• Document progress toward IEP goals and maintain treatment data.
