Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support the Speech and Language Pathologist in delivering interventions for students with disabilities. You will help with materials, data collection, and documentation, while collaborating with SPED staff to implement IEP plans.

The role requires SLPA certification, First Aid & CPR, and a Bachelor's degree related to communication disorders or speech pathology.

Qualifications

• SLP aide must have valid certifications in First Aid & CPR and SLPA certification.
• Degree in communication disorders or speech pathology required.
• Eligible for Medicaid documentation responsibilities and IEP support.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising SLP in delivering speech and language interventions.
• Document services and progress within designated Medicaid system and IEP paperwork.
• Collaborate with SPED team and school personnel regarding student services.
• Schedule, screen, observe and collect data for designated students.
• Represent the SLP during IEP meetings as needed.
