Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the Slot Technical Department and staffing levels.
• Maintain machine records, inventory, conversions, removals, installations, and relocations.
• Ensure OSHA safety compliance and MSDS log for chemicals used in the Slot Department.
• Maintain invoices and documentation for slot machines.
• Train and evaluate Slot Technicians; conduct performance reviews.
• Support major projects like slot moves and casino expansions when needed.
• Maintain a slot equipment database and ensure proper controls for game and keys.
• Provide initial corrective counseling and orientation for team members.
• Assist in budget analysis for capital expenditures related to slot maintenance and department projects.
• Collaborate with management on procedure changes and approvals.

Job description

It is the responsibility of the Slot Tech Manager to oversee the overall operation of the Slot Technical Department, including but not limited to day‑to‑day operations, staffing level evaluations, overall maintenance and performance of slot equipment, maintaining machine records, inventory, conversions, removals, installations, and relocations.

Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company‑wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times.
2. Adhere to all Company policies, and carry out instructions from management. Maintain clear and open communication upward, downward and laterally.
3. Evaluate operating procedures, recommend changes, and implement changes approved by management.
4. Participate in budget analysis for capital expenditures for slot maintenance and department projects relating to the casino slot floor, the slot technician's shop and electronic shop.
5. Be thoroughly familiar with OSHA safety codes to ensure a safe work environment. Ensure maintenance of "Material Safety Data Sheet" log regarding all chemicals used within the Slot Department. Ensure that all Slot Technicians are trained, updated and properly following safety procedures.
6. Maintain files for invoices and other documentation related to slot machines.
7. Participate in major projects, such as slot moves and casino expansions when regular labor force is inadequate, and perform the job functions of the Slot Technician when necessary.
8. Have a good working knowledge of computer functions and maintain a database of all slot equipment and related information.
9. Key Control: slot machines and drop cabinets.
10. Compliance with Chip Control: Game, Key, etc.
11. Conduct initial corrective counseling action of Team Members and maintain documentation. Conduct orientation and training of Team Members. Conduct Tech Team Members' job performance evaluations and reviews.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. Minimum three (3) years Slot Tech experience preferred.
3. Must have thorough computer skills and able to use other job related equipment.
4. Must have familiarity with the set up and programming of all slot related gaming equipment and player tracking systems.
5. Knowledge of regulation 6A requirements and internal control policies.
6. Basic math skills.
7. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Ability to move up to 75 pounds using a hand truck with or without assistance.
3. Ability to hear radio transmission and communicate clearly on radio.
4. Have manual dexterity necessary to operate small and large hand tools.
