JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- General:
- Responsible for guest service, relations, and disputes.
- Ensure the safety and security of team members and guests. Manage processes and programs to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries.
- Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
- Review and manage department’s financial data.
- Review casino activities and promotional status with Casino Director.
- Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
- Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, exercising discretion to identify situations requiring supervisory attention. Seek to resolve all situations positively to maintain guest relationships.
- Work Schedule:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
- Assist in maintaining a clean casino environment by disposing of cups, glasses, bottles, or other items left by guests, and lining up chairs at slot machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by management.
- Operating Principles: Ensure adherence to operating principles: Cleanliness, Safety, Friendliness, and Fun, providing excellent guest service while maintaining professionalism.
- Tools and Technology: Use of hand-held radio, scanner, money pouch, telephone, PBX system, slot-related tools, supplies, and desktop computer.
- Licensure: Ability to obtain and maintain a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Employee Occupational License, be at least 21 years old, and provide three years of tax returns.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Three to five years’ experience in a casino or gaming environment, with a 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge: Principles of customer service, gaming laws, and regulations.
- Skills: Active listening, logical reasoning, performance assessment, and corrective action skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent bending, crouching, or stooping. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Work Environment: Exposure to bright lights, noise, smoke, varied temperatures, and use of elevators and stairs in a casino setting.
