  • Responsible for team member scheduling, special requests, and PTO
  • Responsible for preparing and conducting performance reviews
  • Responsible for recommending, implementing, and enforcing progressive discipline
  • Responsible for disciplinary and termination decisions in accordance with company policy
  • Implements and manages processes to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries
  • Reviews and adjusts staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment levels
  • Develops staff through interviews, hiring, and evaluations
  • Reviews poker room activities and promotional status with the Director of Poker
  • Assists the Director in monitoring and adjusting performance relative to local competition
  • Familiar with Title 31 guidelines; understands and utilizes suspicious activity reports for casinos (SARC) when necessary
  • Maintains knowledge of casino events and promotional activities; assists as needed
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies ethically and promotes the same among staff
  • Works a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may vary
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
  • Follows Operating Principles: Cleanliness, Safety, Friendliness, and Fun in guest interactions
  • Utilizes tools and technology including card tables, drop boxes, chips, shufflers, and computers
  • Must obtain and maintain a 1055 Slot/Cardroom/Pari-Mutuel Employee Occupational License; at least 21 years old; three years of tax returns required
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5-7 years as a poker dealer, supervisor, or floor person; related degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge: Customer service principles, gaming laws, and regulations; basic arithmetic and algebra
  • Skills: Effective communication, performance monitoring, and corrective actions
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Must walk, stand, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and lift up to 30 pounds; frequent bending and reaching; occasional crouching or stooping
  • Work in a casino environment with bright lights, noise, smoke, and temperature variations; use of stairs and elevators
