Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a dedicated Slitter Assistant (2nd Shift) in Hickory, NC. You will support Slitter Operators, prepare materials, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging of finished rolls.

The role emphasizes strong attendance, detail orientation, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include moving pallets, staging rolls, sampling for QA, and maintaining organized work areas.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail to ensure quality packaging and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Pack roll stock from Slitting and Press Departments.
• Assist Slitter Operators in secondary slitting operations to boost efficiency.
• Move and wrap pallets, stage rolls, and supply department materials.
• Cut cores, trash, and trim, reclaim rolls on rewinder equipment, and label finished rolls.
• Collect QA samples and prepare materials for production orders.
• Move finished goods to wrapping staging area and maintain organized recycling.
• Operate slitter equipment and cover shifts during PTO or absences.
