TOPPAN Packaging USA (Hickory) Inc. is seeking a Pouching Assistant for the Night Shift in Hickory, NC. The role reports to the Department Manager and focuses on efficient production and accurate packaging of TOPPAN products in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, committed to quality and safety, and capable of working a rotating 12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Training occurs on the day shift to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for inspecting and packing to meet order specs.
• Strong communication with team members during shift transitions and handoffs.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset to address production issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and pack pouches from assigned machines to ensure products meet order specifications and quality standards.
• Operate all bag machines safely and efficiently.
• Follow all food safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Review production orders for accuracy and proper setup.
• Verify sealers are properly closed and functioning.
• Monitor strip rolls for proper placement.
• Record start counts and production data accurately.
• Work closely with Set-Up team members to confirm order accuracy and machine readiness.
• Perform minor machine adjustments including eye positioning, wicket pins, and lip/print alignment.
• Conduct regular quality checks and complete QC documentation as required.
• Build and label boxes with correct counts, machine numbers, and order details.
• Seal and move completed boxes according to order instructions.
• Complete end-of-order documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate key information during shift transitions.
• Assist with physical inventory counts as directed.
