Premium Metals, Inc. is seeking a Set Up Operator to join our production team in a safety‑conscious, 1 TEAM environment. You will set up slitting operations, build sheets, and maintain tooling while ensuring quality and adherence to customer specifications.

The role requires the ability to read gauges and measurements, operate under general supervision, and participate in a drug-free workplace. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to use computers
• Read tape measures, micrometers and calipers
• Perform complete setup of slitting to meet specs
• Dependable attendance and work completion
• Flexible to meet business needs
• Interact effectively with employees at all levels
• Read and write simple English memos and instructions

Responsibilities

• Embrace the 1 T.E.A.M. culture and wear required PPE
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthful work environment
• Develop knowledge of slitter setup programs
• Generate build sheets from production work orders
• Build heads using build sheet instructions
• Maintain knife and rubber inventory
• Clean knives and tooling and repair/maintain equipment
• Perform routine checks to ensure product quality and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned
