Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a Slitter Operator - Night Shift to run state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment and produce high-quality specialty films. You will monitor quality and help troubleshoot equipment.

Shifts include Mon-Fri 8-hour nights or Mon-Thurs 10-hour nights. Candidates should have 1–3 years of extrusion experience, be able to lift 50 lb, possess basic mechanical aptitude, and communicate well.

The Role

You will operate state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment to produce high-quality specialty films. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in our comprehensive training program while contributing to sustainable packaging solutions that make a real difference.

Schedule:Mon- Fri 8 hour shifts on Nights, or Mon-Thurs 10 hour shifts on Nights

What You'll Do

• Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Slitting down master rolls into smaller sizes, rolls
• Rewinding of questionable materials
• Meeting quality expectations
• Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

• Ability to work 8 or 10 hour shifts and lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environmentAbility to pass pre-employment drug screening
• 1-3 years of plastic extrusion experience
• Basic computer knowledge
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Wages ranging from $18.00 +, dependent on experience.
• Additional $2.50 per hournight shift differential.
