Qualifications

• 3+ years in leadership positions.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent job experience.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift of production staff by assigning responsibilities and coordinating tasks.
• Train and develop employees to improve performance and safety.
• Ensure safe, quality production and adherence to procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment and address issues to maximize uptime.
• Oversee 12-hour shift operations (6:00am–6:00pm or 6:00pm–6:00am).
• Maintain safety precautions and compliance across the shift.
• Promote an inclusive workplace culture and teamwork.
• Motivate and support production staff with guidance and feedback.
• Evaluate staff performance and make recommendations to the Production Manager.
• Ensure the plant operates safely and efficiently under standards.
• Foster development and growth of team members.

The Role

You will operate state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment to produce high-quality specialty films. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in our comprehensive training program while contributing to sustainable packaging solutions that make a real difference.

Schedule

Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule

• 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am) or (Days - 6:00am-6:00pm)

What You'll Do

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift throughout a 12- hour period. (Our lift limit is 65lbs)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Focus on safety and quality production
• Ensures plant is operating safely and all safety precautions are being taken by employees.
• Responsible for the management of a shift of employees by assigning responsibilities, delegating tasks and responsibilities and training and development for employees.
• Promotes an inclusive workplace culture.
• Motivates, supports, and provides guidance to production staff.
• Assures quality and maximum operating conditions.
• Proven safety habits, leadership abilities, proven professional behavior, reliable and dependable
• Sound team-based job performance with good interpersonal skills and a decisive focus on the development of others.
• Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations of assigned staff at the discretion of the Production Manager.

What You’ll Bring

• Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Mechanical Aptitude to be able to solve machine problems.
• Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
• Associate’s degree or equivalent job experience
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred
• 3+ years in leadership experience
• Additional education in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Management related field preferred.
• Three to five years in progressively responsible positions required.
• Wages up to $33.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
• Additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential.
