Job summary

Charter Next Generation in Rhinelander, WI is hiring for a production operator role operating state-of-the-art extrusion equipment to produce high-quality films. You will monitor quality, troubleshoot issues, and participate in our training program while contributing to sustainable packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Understand pouch layouts and set up pouch machines.
• Produce pouches per specifications and complete QC testing.
• Pack, label and barcode finished pouches as per specs.
• Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain teamwork with supervisor and co-workers.
• Assist others to expedite changeovers.

The Role

You will operate state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment to produce high-quality specialty films. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in our comprehensive training program while contributing to sustainable packaging solutions that make a real difference.

Schedule

Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule.

• Work: Monday & Tuesday - Off: Wednesday & Thursday - Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
• Off: Monday & Tuesday - Work: Wednesday & Thursday - Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
• 12-hour static shifts (Days - 6:00am - 6:00pm) (Nights - 6:00pm - 6:00am)

What You'll Do

• Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Understand pouch layouts.
• Set-up pouch machines.
• Produce pouches per specifications.
• Complete all QC testing per procedures.
• Pack pouches in accordance to specified packing spec.
• Label & barcode finished and packed pouches per specifications.
• Complete pouches per specifications.
• Mechanical Aptitude to be able to solve machine problems.
• Computer skills to be able to complete production information into information system and print necessary labels.
• Able to read a layout to be able to set up a pouch machine to specifications.
• Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment.
• Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
• Give assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers

Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Salary

• Wages ranging from $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
• $2.50 shift differential
