Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC in Hickory, NC seeks a Slitter Operator to set up and operate slitters, follow safety rules, and keep production records. The role includes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and training new operators to support quality and cost efficiency.

You will read gauges, manage materials, and enter data into SAP, contributing to continuous improvement on the shop floor. This is a full-time, on-site manufacturing position.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed instructions accurately and work both independently and in a team.
• Strong manual dexterity and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production schedules, basic math, data entry and reading gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter according to established procedures.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and complete required documentation.
• Instruct trainees in all phases of slitter operation and record keeping.
• Read gauges, meters, and labels; report outputs and issues; enter data into SAP.
