Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC in Hickory, NC is seeking a Slitter Operator to set up and operate manual or automatic slitters and related packing lines. The role follows safety rules and work instructions to produce consistent slit products while maintaining production records and troubleshooting as needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring equipment functions, reading measurements, and participating in S4 continuous improvement projects, all within a team-focused, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Excellent manual dexterity and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production schedules, basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry.
• Ability to read gauges and meters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter according to established procedures.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure finishing equipment is working correctly and perform safety inspections.
• Record output results and maintain production records.
• Read tags to ensure proper materials are retrieved/used.
• Perform data-entry on SAP and participate in improvement projects.
