Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is hiring a Slitter Operator for a 1st shift in Tulsa, OK. Work hours are Monday-Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm with overtime as required.

Responsibilities include operating the slitting line, assisting in set-ups and changeovers, performing quality inspections, and training slitter helpers under supervision. Strong safety and housekeeping standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years experience in a steel service center or processing environment.
• Must have a professional attitude and strong safety mindset.
• Ability to train slitter helpers and coordinate a small team.
• Strong math, measurement, and data entry skills.
• Proficient with micrometer and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Operate the slitting line and assist in set-ups/changeovers.
• Direct and coordinate slitter helpers.
• Perform quality inspections as required.
• Visual and/or measured inspection of products for defects.
• Train with plant supervisor; train slitter helpers.
• Maintain high level safety and housekeeping standards.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane as needed.
