Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA is seeking a Slitter Operator for the Tulsa, OK area. The role is a first shift, Monday-Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm with overtime as needed.

You will run the slitting line, assist in setups, and monitor product quality to ensure safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years in a steel service center or similar processing environment, plus hands-on experience with measurement tools and cranes.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years in a Steel Service Center / processing environment.
• Professional attitude and reliable work ethic.
• Strong supervisory abilities and leadership potential.
• Excellent communication and cooperative interaction with teammates.
• Proficient data entry and basic computer skills.
• Proficient in measurement tools (micrometer, caliper, tape).
• Experience operating forklift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Slitting Line efficiently and safely.
• Direct and coordinate Slitter Helpers.
• Assist in setup and changeovers as required.
• Perform quality inspections on finished products.
• Train Slitter Helpers with supervision.
• Maintain high safety standards and housekeeping.
