Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a Slitter Operator for 1st shift (Mon-Thu 5:00am–3:30pm) with overtime as required. You will operate the slitting line, assist with setup/changeovers, perform quality inspections, and maintain safety and housekeeping standards.

Training with the plant supervisor will be provided for slitter helpers, emphasizing teamwork. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years in a steel service center or

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• 2 years in a Steel Service Center / Processing Environment.
• Professional business attitude and strong communication with other employees.
• Superior supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate all functions required to operate the slitting line.
• Assist in set-ups and changeover as required.
• Perform quality inspection activities as required.
• Visual/measurement inspection of product for damage or defects.
• Train with plant supervisor for slitter helpers.
• Maintain high level safety standards.
• Maintain high level housekeeping standards.

The skills and experience you need:

Education:
