Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, part of the ASSA ABLOY family, is hiring a Slitter Operator for the Tulsa, OK area. The role is 1st shift, Monday-Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm, with overtime as required.

You will operate the slitting line, supervise helpers, assist with set-ups, and perform quality inspections to ensure defect-free product. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years in a steel service center/processing environment, and proficiency with measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in a Steel Service Center/Processing Environment.
• Superior supervisory abilities.
• Professional business attitude.
• Strong communication and cooperative interaction with other employees.
• Proficient in data entry.
• Proficient in measurement tools (micrometer, caliper, tape).
• Forklift and overhead crane operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Slitting Line and oversee all required functions.
• Direct and coordinate Slitter Helpers.
• Assist in set-ups and changeovers as required.
• Perform quality inspection activities as required.
• Visually and measurably inspect products for damage or defects.
• Train with Plant Supervisor and Slitter Helpers.
• Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.
