Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, this individual will be responsible for properly setting up their machine to the specifications of the sales orders, ensuring the material matches the order and travelers. They will train their helper to safely assist in gathering packaging materials and operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Clock in and out upon arrival and departure.
• Understand sales orders and job travelers related to their role as operator and packager.
• Follow customer packaging instructions for palletizing products.
• Maintain machine cleanliness to ensure quality and longevity.
• Identify and replace dull cutting blades.
• Accurately record data in Epicor software.
• Manage job clocking and material inventory accurately.
• Coordinate with supervisors for job creation and material handling.
• Create part labels using Epicor, Bartender Print Station, and Label Matrix.
• Verify skid and material status through the Customer Shipment Entry Dashboard.
• Know which materials require heating and reinforce skids safely with power tools.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Stand and lift for prolonged periods, up to 60 pounds.
• Work in various climates and noisy environments.
• Wear PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and proper attire.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and proper chemical handling.
