Job Description

Experienced Slitter Operator
Second shift- 2pm-10pm
At our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we are seeking an experienced Slitter Operator to join our dynamic team. As a leading steel manufacturer, we take pride in producing and distributing a wide range of high-quality steel products to serve customers across various industries.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating our state-of-the-art slitting machines, ensuring the efficient and precise cutting of large steel coils into narrower strips or sheets. Your expertise in machine setup, use of hand and power tools, and working with overhead cranes will be essential to maintaining our production standards and meeting customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate and monitor slitting machines to cut steel coils into the desired widths and lengths.
2. Perform machine setup and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
3. Utilize hand and power tools, as well as overhead cranes, to handle and move materials.
4. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities.
5. Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any operational issues.

Qualifications:

1. 1-2 years of experience as a Machine Operator, with a strong understanding of machine setup and operation.
2. Proficiency in using tape measures, hand and power tools, and overhead cranes.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and production orders.
4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
5. Computer literacy and the ability to work with production software.
6. High school diploma or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

This position requires standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment. The work environment is fast-paced and may involve exposure to noise, dust, and other typical industrial hazards.
