Job summary

Amcor in Batavia, IL is hiring Slitter Operators to set up, run, and support slitting machines in our Batavia manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on production role for candidates with machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude.

What You’ll Do: Set up and run slitting machines to meet production standards, perform quality checks and document results, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and record production data while maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• Machine operator, manufacturing, production, packaging, printing, or web handling experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a fixed 4-3 schedule.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance, safety focus, and teamwork skills.

• Pay: $26.41/hour
• Night shift premium: Additional $0.75/hour (if working nights)
• Bonus: $1,000 referral bonus
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 PM–6 AM, fixed 4-3 rotation

Must Have

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Preferred

• Accurate measurement skills
• Basic metric conversion knowledge
• Forklift or hand jack experience
