Job summary

Amcor is hiring a Press Operator at our Shelbyville Liquids plant to lead line operations, perform changeovers, start-ups, running and shutdowns while prioritizing safety and compliance with specifications.

The 12-hour nights schedule (2-2-3), pay between $23-$29 per hour plus $1.50 night shift premium, and benefits from day one, make this a strong opportunity for motivated teammates.

Qualifications

• Ability read, understand, and follow customer specifications.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills to complete tasks in operator software.
• Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

• Lead in all aspects of line operation including changeovers, start-up, running and shutdown.
• Support operations in pursuing World Class safety and quality.
• Run jobs per customer and manufacturing specifications.
• Direct assistants to minimize job change-over and downtime.
• Train assistants to perform required duties and perform basic operator maintenance.

Schedule

Shift: 12-hour, 2-2-3 Nights, 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m Days 7:00am - 7:00 p.m.

What you'll do:

• Operators will lead inall aspects of operation of lines including changeovers, machine start-up, running and shutdown.

• Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.

• Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification.

• Work with and direct the assistants to minimize job change-over and down time.

• Train and direct the assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties.

• Performs basic operator preventative maintenance to machines and/or tools.
