Job summary

Amcor Batavia, IL is hiring Slitter Operators to set up, run, and support slitting machines in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality.

You will perform production tasks, run machines on a 12-hour night shift (6 PM–6 AM) with a fixed 4-3 rotation, record data, and maintain a clean, safe work area while supporting a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Machine operator, manufacturing, production, packaging, printing, or web handling experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a fixed 4-3 schedule
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance, safety focus, and teamwork skills

• Night shift premium: Additional $0.75/hour (if working nights)

• Bonus: $1,000 referral bonus

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 PM-6 AM, fixed 4-3 rotation

Amcor is hiring Slitter Operators to set up, run, and support slitting machines in our Batavia manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on production role for candidates with machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude.

What You'll Do

• Set up and run slitting machines to meet production standards

• Perform quality checks and document results

• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues

• Record production data and maintain clean work areas

Must Have

• Machine operator, manufacturing, production, packaging, printing, or web handling experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
