Amcor is hiring for our Batavia production plant!

Shifts Available

12 Hour Straight Nights or Days

Pay

Slitter Operator - The starting rate is $25.89 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitters efficiently, ensuring quality and waste specifications.
• Input data into MPR II system and maintain visual workplace standards.
• Assist in roll packing, rewind, and lead wrap areas.
• Follow safety procedures including machinery guarding, light curtains, and e-stops.
• Follow customer specifications and perform quality tests to ensure compliance.
• Operate hoists/cranes safely to move large rolls.
• Use measuring tools accurately and demonstrate knowledge of operational procedures.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Participate in safety, environmental, and lean activities.

Qualifications

• Prior slitter operator experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and operate independently.
• Manufacturing experience and computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read measurements and operate a PC.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50-60 lbs.
• Stand and walk for entire shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting.
• Use of hands and wrists regularly.
• Climb platforms as needed.
