Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is hiring a Slitter Machine Operator in Cary, IL. You will operate and set up slitting equipment to support production and customer roll stock orders.

The role requires measuring, troubleshooting, and lifting up to 65 pounds, with training provided. Shift options include 1st and 2nd, Monday–Friday, with pay between $20 and $22 per hour based on experience. A HS diploma or GED is preferred and you must be at least 18.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year of machine operating experience including setup, changeovers and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical experience, e.g., vehicle repair milestones, engine or major component replacement.
• Ability to measure to 1/16" using a standard ruler (pre-employment ruler test).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 65 pounds, with equipment assistance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor slitting machinery.
• Perform machine changeovers and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain production efficiency.
• Read and interpret measurements with a ruler.
• Inspect materials to ensure quality standards.
• Safely move and handle large rolls of material with equipment.
• Support production needs and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
