Job summary

Mancan Staffing is seeking an experienced Slitter Line Operator for our client in Strongsville, OH. The role is 1st shift, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a temp-to-hire path.

The operator will safely and efficiently run slitting equipment and ensure quality and productivity standards. Candidates should have at least one year of slitter experience, be able to lift 50 pounds, pass a measurement test, and work well with the team.

• Experience operating a press machine.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Mancan Staffing is currently seeking experienced Slitter Line Operators for a growing company in Strongsville, OH!

POSITION DETAILS

Job Title: Slitter Line Operator

Pay: $18.50/hour

Shift: 1st Shift | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Location: Strongsville, OH

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Transportation: This location is NOT accessible by public transportation. Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from work.

JOB SUMMARY

The F&P Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating assigned slitting equipment while ensuring products meet quality and productivity standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machine Setup - Configure and set up the slitting machine according to job specifications. Adjust blades, guides, and other machine components to achieve the required cut widths.
• Material Loading- Load raw materials, such as coils or rolls, onto the slitter for processing. Ensure materials are properly aligned and tensioned to prevent issues during production.
• Production Operation- Operate the slitter to cut materials into specified widths and lengths. Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent product quality and meet production goals. Identify and address production issues as they arise. Follow established safety and quality procedures.

• Minimum 1 year of Slitter Operator experience required.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
• Must be comfortable working around manufacturing and production equipment.

REQUIRED: MEASUREMENT TEST

MUST BE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS A MEASUREMENT TEST! Candidates must demonstrate the ability to accurately understand and work with measurements as part of the hiring process.
