TekniPlex is seeking a Slitter Helper in North Carolina to support the Slitter Operator and maintain production per customer specifications. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and effective communication with the prior shift.

Qualifications

• Comfortable standing for the full shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Previous forklift experience is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for this hands-on role.
• Must be able to read/write/speak English.
• Knowledge of equipment capability and controls.
• Knowledge of reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate priorities between shifts.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Load payoff using overhead hoist and thread material through machine.
• Install spacers and knives on shafts.
• Thread sheeting through slitter; verify slit dimensions.
• Secure slit strips on cores; adjust guides and tension.
• Observe slitting/rewinding; check for defects.
• Report scrap or quality issues promptly.
• Arrange stacking of rolls per packaging specs.
• Meet productivity, quality and scrap targets daily.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
