Atlas Tube, part of Zekelman Industries, is hiring a Slitter Operator Exit in Kansas City, MO for a 3rd shift. You will set up and operate high‑speed equipment with robotic elements to form or cut steel to specs, while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

You’ll document production changes, support calibration and tooling, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Read and write English proficiently.
• Experience in manufacturing or related industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math (add/subtract/ decimals/fractions).
• Experience with measuring devices such as tape measure, micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety and LOTO rules when operating equipment.
• Advanced setup and calibration of equipment for forming/c cutting steel.
• Inspect materials for quality before, during, and after running.
• Record and report deficiencies to supervisor/quality dept.
• Maintain tooling and equipment for job completion.
• Diagnose equipment or quality problems to minimize scrap.
• Complete production reports, changeovers, and scrap documentation.
• Assist maintenance with repairs and PM of equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs.

This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.**Shift**: 3rd Shift (M-T 5:30pm - 5:30am & Friday - 5:30pm - 4:00am)**RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Observe all safety and LOTO rules to operate equipment efficiently and effectively.* Advanced set up and calibration of all equipment.* Inspect materials for quality issues before, during, and after running material* Record and report any deficiencies in quality to the supervisor/quality department.* Maintain equipment tooling and tools necessary for job completion.* Diagnose equipment and quality problems while keeping scrap and delays to a minimum* Perform housekeeping tasks to keep work areas clean and safe* Complete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap material* Assist maintenance in repairs and PM of equipment.* Participation in continuous improvement programs.* Perform all other duties as assigned by management jobs as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Ability to read and write English.
