Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily operations and ensure outstanding guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will help with opening/closing, supervise staff, and maintain quality and sanitation standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude while supporting management in meeting company expectations for service and operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of supervisor or manager experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Proficient computer and numerical skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in opening and closing the restaurant; flexible scheduling including extended hours.
• Count cash registers and assist in stocking inventory.
• Expedite food to guests and ensure timely service.
• Follow management directions and comply with company policies.

The Shift Manager will display exemplary professional and positive attitudes at all times. The Shift Manager is expected to perform each task in the restaurant and regularly help expedite food to ensure delivery of outstanding guest service. Shift Manager’s assist the management team in meeting Company standards for quality food, service, and sanitation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the opening and closing of the restaurant (Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours)
• Assist in counting out cash registers
• Assist in stocking shelves with inventory and product
• Expedite food for guests
• Follow directions of management
• Comply with Company policies, procedures, standards, and specifications
• Comply with state and federal laws governing safety and food handling
