Job summary

Advocate Health's Sleep Center in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time Sleep Technician to support polysomnography testing and patient monitoring. The role involves preparing equipment, applying sensors, documenting baseline measurements, and assisting with scoring sleep stages and report generation.

The candidate should have advanced healthcare training, basic computer skills, and obtain BLS within 30 days along with eligible sleep-specific certifications within 3 years.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within 3 years or
• Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) within 3 years or
• RRT-SDS certification within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and calibrates equipment for testing to ensure proper functioning.
• Selects monitoring electrodes and PAP mask fittings for patients.
• Documents baseline values including sleep stages and vital signs.
• Assists with scoring sleep stages and generating accurate reports.
