Job summary

Advocate Health's Sleep Disorder Laboratory in Rome, GA is seeking a qualified sleep technician to review patient data, prepare and calibrate equipment, and perform CPAP titration and sleep study scoring. The role requires RPT registration, CPR certification, and ongoing continuing education in sleep medicine.

The candidate will work 40 hours weekly, with a night schedule Wed–Fri 8pm–8am or as needed, and will be part of a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the RPT.
• Must obtain 10 CECs in Sleep per year.
• Must have valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification in CPR.

Responsibilities

• Review history, physical, medications, order, and study protocol.
• Complete and verify documentation.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to the International 10-20 system.
• Perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting and titration.
• Scores polysomnographic studies according to The AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events.
• Serves as a resource for Polysomnographic technicians.
